Stanley supports major ICT education initiative

With schools and colleges, teachers and students increasingly vulnerable to the impact of crime and disorder, Stanley Security Solutions has been delighted to support ‘Memory 4 Teachers’, a major new ICT initiative taking place within the UK education sector.

Developed in association with LEAs and Teachers Unions, to help teachers, educators, bursars and support staff in addressing their ever-increasing workloads, the scheme provides some 750,000 free USB memory sticks to named individuals working in the sector.

The sticks include embedded interface with free educational resources for teachers to use in class or remotely as part of their lesson planning and syllabus delivery. After being approached by the programme’s Security Division, Stanley was able to provide a comprehensive presentation on security issues, school day scenarios and solutions, with all content made available in dedicated resource areas on the USB memory stick and accompanying web channel.

Stanley’s Marketing Manager, Malcolm Rose commented:  “Staff and pupil safety is obviously of growing concern and we work extensively with many schools and colleges to address their security challenges and requirements. We were therefore happy to become a partner in the Memory 4 Teachers initiative and pass on some of our experience, advice and information to the teaching profession whilst further raising our own profile and exposure in the education sector.”
